Wines from Spain is pleased to announce the launch of The Wines from Spain Awards. These Awards will be primarily aimed at the consumer and are the next logical step to follow the successful New Wave Spanish Wine Awards, which targeted the trade sector.

Tim Atkin MW will be chairing a superlative panel of judges, all highly regarded experts in their field. This panel will select what it considers to be the best Spanish wines currently available in the UK (as well as some from wineries that took part in this year’s Wines from Spain Trade Fair).

A comprehensive strategy has been devised in order to put glasses of Spanish wine in consumers’ hands. This will be achieved through work with independent wine merchants where we will be inviting their customers to embrace both Spanish food and wine through the use of special ‘gourmet kits’. We will also be participating in carefully targeted consumer wine shows such as The Three Wine Men, The Wine Gang and Wines from Spain’s own annual consumer tasting in 2013.

A guide will be produced both on line and in print which will detail the winning wines as well as give an excellent overview of Spanish wines to the interested wine consumer.
