The relatively small estate was awarded Denomination of Origin Pago status in 2005 and is situated in the 99 hectares owned and run by Eduardo Sanchez Muliterno and his son, Juan, within their vineyards known as Bodegas Y Viñedos Sanchez Muliterno.
This magnificent estate in the heart of Castilla-La Mancha on the Don Quijote Way is not far from that famous literary figure’s home, the Cueva de Montesinos, found in the Lagunas de Ruidera National Park.
The winery has become well known for its high quality wines made principally from international grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. Such was the founder’s conviction about the suitability of his estate for producing wines that he was one of the first in the region to take the risk and plant non-native varietals
