The Spanish Foreign Trade Agency (ICEX), the Spanish Foreign Trade Agency Office at the Spanish Embassy in Ho Chi Minh City and the Navarra Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with the support of the Chambers of Commerce from Burgos, Ciudad Real and Seville, jointly organised the first Spanish wine exhibition in Vietnam. The venture’s main objective is to support and increase the offer of wine products on this Asian market.
A total of 15 bodegas, endorsed by various appellations, took part in the event held at the Caravelle Hotel in Vietnam’s largest city. The forum was targeted at wine importers and retailers, supermarket chain store purchasing managers, independent outlets, the HoReCa sector and trade press.
The star activities organised for the event were an introductory seminar on Spanish wines, led by the oenologist and Tasting School of Navarra associate, Ana Laguna, and a Tasting & Commentary on the wines showcased at the forum.
Owing to its huge population of more than 80 million inhabitants, its promising socio-economic situation, and an emerging market increasingly open to foreign trade, Vietnam is gradually becoming a more interesting destination for consumer products, including those from the wine and spirits sector.
