Spanish wines not only receive the highest praise from the most prestigious international magazines and win international awards at different influential worldwide competitions, but also earn awards for their label design. Such is the case of DO Priorato, which won First Prize in the ‘Label Awards 2007’, an annual competition organised by TLMI (Tag & Label Manufacturers Institute) in Illinois, USA.
The label in question belongs to ‘Genium Celler 2005’, a wine made by the bodegas of the same name, who commission their label printing to GERMARK. The label was presented in the 'wine and spirit label digital printing' category, winning the maximum accolade with its Lluis Palies design.
The ‘Genium Celler 2005’ label competed for this award against 317 other creations submitted by 50 international companies. This major achievement was given even more importance by that fact that it was awarded by TLMI, the most competitive and uncompromising label organisation on the market.
