Despite Yecla’s reverence for traditional growing methods, bodegas are also keen to apply modern techniques and state-of-the-art technology in their winemaking processes. Thanks to this wise combination, the appellation is currently flourishing and exploring its considerable potential.
Indeed, these wines are gradually gaining notoriety on foreign markets. In fact, 80 percent of the appellation’s production is sold overseas, with leading clients being Germany, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, the USA, Switzerland, Austria, Canada, Sweden, Norway, Japan, China, Australia, Singapore and France.
Currently, bodegas registered under DO Yecla are seeking to expand into new markets, such as the European Union Member States.
