El Nido, a world-leading Jumilla bodega

The 2002 vintage was first to see the light in this bodega, marketed during the second quarter of 2005. The latest to come out on the market, the 2004 vintage, received praise from Robert Parker with ‘El Nido’ rated with 99 points and ‘Clio’ with 97 points, ratings never before received by any other wine from the region and by very few around the world. Without doubt, Bodegas El Nido’s wines have helped to open a very important door for Jumilla wines in general, putting them along side some of the best and legendary wines of more prestigious wine-growing regions in the world.

So much so that, from a marketing point of view, the bodega’s mission has been to make the region’s potential know to the rest of the world, since the very beginning. Perhaps understandable, given that all of the partners, with no exception, are great wine lovers who had confidence in its great potential since the start of the venture.

As it happens, Bodegas El Nido is present on all of the mature world markets; demanding markets, where consumers only accept wines whose quality compensates the price of the bottle, with no concern as to origin. It is in this aspect, despite this wine’s high price, that its quality has been confirmed objectively.

Currently, Bodegas El Nido sells bottled wine in more than 35 countries in four continents, through limited quotas before the vintages get on to the market.
